Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
Since 2002, the project has been using three handheld GPS units to collect point data from sites or isolated artifacts. For the 2005 field season, we plan to add the use of a Pocket PC with a CF GPS reciever.

The data collected with the three handheld GPS have not undergone differential correction. As a result, its accuracy is between approximately 5-15m. This GPS data was later projected over Landsat TM satellite imagery (30 m spatial resolution) in a Geographic Information System (GIS).
